With the latest industry data showing that an average of six pubs a week closed in 2024, Matt Bicknell, MD of Regal Gaming Technologies believes that the income generated by gaming machines, pool tables and juke boxes can play a pivotal role in helping pubs to continue to serve their communities.
He stated: “In the last two years we have invested over £40m in technology and equipment in order to help pubs entertain their customers and generate additional income.
“Gaming machines, pool tables and jukeboxes attract customers and extend the length of time they spend inside the pub.
“The income generated by pub equipment has become even more important following the Autumn Budget which increased the sector’s cost burden by a staggering £650m.
