MERKUR join Platinum Partnership programme to help Hospice raise £8.7m each year

MERKUR UK has embraced the needs of its home city by becoming a Platinum Partner of Willen Hospice which has been caring for the people of Milton Keynes for over 40-years.

MERKUR, which has been based in Milton Keynes since 2010, joins Platinum Partners including John Lewis, BMW, and Marshall.

The fund-raising challenge is immense with Willens needing to raise £23,835 each and every day, (£8.7m/year) for  it to continue to provide its services free of charge.

The relationship will kick-off with MERKUR UK covering the costs of providing Christmas Dinner for patients and staff.

MERKUR UK’s Sarah Gillett said: “The relationship we have with Willen Hospice means an awful lot to the team, the vast majority of whom have family links with Milton Keynes and live in the area.

“We have an outstanding team of talented and committed individuals and we will be complementing our financial contributions by inviting staff to help serve Christmas Dinner andparticipate in Willens’ annual Santa Dash.

“We are working with the team at Willens to create a programme of activities that we can contribute to and continue to support such a wonderful organisation that touches so many families in our community at their time of greatest need.”
