Games creator Blueprint Operations has identified signs of a leisure and entertainment driven high street recovery with the MERKUR UK brand reporting a double digit increase in both enquiries and sales (June to August) compared to the same period in 2019.
Nicola Wallbank, Blueprint’s Head of Corporate Accounts believes the uplift is reflective of the strength of the Blueprint offering as well as the mind set of operators who are coming out of the Covid restrictions prepared to invest in the right product. She confirmed: “The response has been encouraging and is a good blend of product styles with both high street entertainment centres and pubs beginning to show signs of confidence as we head into the traditionally busy Christmas period.”
She added: “As a company we’ve been dedicated to raising the bar across the board. This has entailed continued substantial investments in digital gaming technology and innovation, the creation of world class cabinets and an enhanced entertainment experience underpinned by our commitment to safer gambling which is enshrined in MERKUR UK’s 360 Program.
“CapEx investment is one of the first signs of business confidence and I believe the feedback we are receiving shows the role played by technology driven gaming entertainment in helping to drive recovery on the high street.”
