The company has extended its social responsibility commitments with the launch of MERKUR Community.
MERKUR Community has been launched to provide support for organisations and events linked to towns and cities which have MERKUR Slots or MERKUR Bingo venues.
Outlining how MERKUR Community will operate, the company’s General Manager Sascha Blodau said: “We will be identifying those sports clubs, social clubs, support groups and events that are rooted in their communities, which make an important difference to the lives of local residents and which require some assistance and support.
“For example, it might be an organised litter pick that requires help to purchase equipment, an over 50’s football team that needs a new kit or a business hub seeking to support young entrepreneurs. If the organisation or event is not for profit and is located in the communities where we have businesses we will explore how we can provide support and help improve the lives of people in the community.”
MERKUR Community is another strand to the company’s highly regarded 360 Program which was recognised for its environmental undertakings winning the Bacta Green Giant Award which was presented to Sascha Blodau at the industry’s EAG Expo which was held at ExCeL London.
